Week 6
I started this week finishing wiring up the asset manager to our travel-advice-publisher, so images and maps can now be uploaded to travel advice content. On Thursday, we released the travel advice beta for Foreign & Commonwealth Office staff to start working with, so you may begin to see a few beta items of travel advice appear on GOV.UK over the coming weeks.
I’ve also spent a little while looking at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office’s Legalisation transaction, the process of getting an Apostille for a document so that countries abroad will accept it for legal purposes. Work will start soon to rebuild the service.
And, to finish the week, I visited the BBC’s Television Centre to take a look around before it closes this month. I took quite a few photos, which are on Flickr.
Next week, I’m heading to Brussels for the first meeting of the European Commission’s Young Advisors Group.
